Reaching your Goals

We are 18 days into the New Year. How many of you have made resolutions and have continued to stay on track? I am not one to make resolutions, but I do like to create a yearly goal or goals to strive for.

One of the tricks I have learned about setting any goal and to have best success is to accomplish that goal in little chunks.

“Do something every day, to help you work toward that goal.”

It can be 5 minutes of time or many hours a day to get to the end result of what you want to achieve.

One of the other best practices I have found in reaching a goal is to tell people.  Telling people makes you accountable and puts it out in the universe. People will then ask you about your success, and naturally, you will want to report that you are successful, so by telling people, it will make you work harder to make it happen.

I have also learned, it is ok to change the goal. Changes occur in life, and maybe because of that change, the goal you set is no longer something that is as important to you.
